Updated powerwashing and painting schedule

Island Gate Home Owners,

The below schedule is for the power washing/painting and deck staining project that is beginning at Island Gate this week. This project will take approximately 5 days for each section of buildings to be completed.  They will power wash the buildings first, let it dry, paint the doors and round window of each home and then stain the decks. Of course, weather permitting, the time it takes to complete each section could be altered.  As each section is completed we will send out an updated schedule.  The homes will be done in section order so everyone can gauge the progress and estimate the time that their unit will be worked on.

As a reminder:

In preparation for this effort Please take the following steps:

·     Remove all items from the deck, all items. The decks will be washed and the cleaning fluids may damage any items not removed.

·     DO NOT put deck items under the deck. The dripping chemicals will damage all items under the deck.

·     Remove all items that are currently under the deck, (see above for the reason why)

·     Close and lock all windows. The high pressure water and cleaning fluids blown into the house will do damage to the affected room.

·     If at all possible, please be available for the painter. Our front doors will be painted and having them opened will improve results.

If you are unable to complete these tasks or if you are unable to close your windows please notify Association Advisors ASAP. Taking these steps will result in the best results possible for your home and the look of our community. We will be notifying the next group of homes in the coming days.

Deck pressure washing update

With the start of painting and pressure washing the decks will be pressure washed.  Pressure washing will NOT restore the wood to its original condition.  8 to 9 years of exposure, previous washings, sealing, staining etc. have taken their toll on the wood.  Pressure washing removes dirt, debris and some discoloration.  Our contractor has assured us he will be very careful when he does the pressure washing.  The board is exploring the color and type of product we will be using to seal the deck.  The board wants to balance attractiveness, durability and uniformity.  If you have any questions or comments about the product we will be using please share them now.   

Late night swim July 3rd

The pool will be opened until midnight on July 3rd in celebration of the holiday.  Please feel free to enjoy the pool right up to 12 am but remember please keep the noise down and be considerate of your neighbors

4th of July Celebration and Fireworks Schedule

Pool opening tomorrow !!!

The pool will be opening tomorrow June 22, from 9am to 9 pm.  Enjoy and try to stay cool during the heat wave !

Painting and Powerwashing starts at Island Gate this coming Monday June 25th

As previously mentioned, we are beginning the exterior cleaning and painting of our homes.  The exterior will be getting refreshed as the exterior of the homes will be getting power washed and all wood type materials will be getting painted, including doors and the round front window.

The first group of houses will be getting worked on starting this coming Monday June 25^th, 2012.

The first group of homes will be 1 to 15 Seabreeze Court.

The pool schedule for the 2012 season is as follows.

Pond on the Route 72 side of the property

The well that keeps the pond full on the Route 72 side of the property was shut off due to a leak that occured last week.  We are currently soliciting offers to repair the well.  You may notice some repair equipment on the property over the next week or so making reapirs to the well.  We will keep you informed of the status of the well and notify the community when repairs are made.  As always if you have any comments or questions please let us know.
