Cleaning out dryer vents
Last fall Association Advisors sent a notice to the community indicating that it was time to have our dryer vents cleaned out. The by-laws of our community state that our dryer vents need to be cleaned every two years and proof of cleaning needs to be submitted to our management company. Over the next few days our management company will sending a letter to members of the community that they have not received proof of cleaning from. If you haven't done it yet please send your proof of cleaning to AA as soon as possible. This rule may seem trivial but there are over 15,000 home fires a year in the U.S. because of dryer vent fires (source Farmers Insurance). Thanks again for your attention to this matter.
