Major Winter Storm headed our way Friday/Saturday

here is the latest

Friday, becoming cloudy. A major winter storm will bring heavy snow beginning later Friday and continuing through Saturday. A major accumulation of 1-2 feet is expected, even if the snow mixes with ice or rain, which is most likely southeast. High Friday 33. Low 23. Very windy Saturday. High 32. Low 25. Sunday, becoming partly sunny and brisk. High 35. Low 25

This storm also provides us a reminder about winter safety:

Please use caution at all times when driving or walking in our community especially during bad weather.

Our homes temperatures should be set to at least 50 degrees when not at home, having temps below this poses a risk to our neighbors, in addition the batteries in our thermostats should be replaced regularly

Please check the batteries and condition of your smoke alarms and CO detectors, properly working devices are very important to peoples safety

In addition, since our places are 10+ years old many devices in the home are nearing the end of their useful lives

Please stay safe and warm
